Sale, Exchange & Loan
Commercial structures that fit the requirement — purchase when ownership makes sense, exchange or loan when time and cost matter more.
Options
Five ways to structure a component transaction
Part Exchange is at the centre of what we do. The right structure depends on the component, the core you hold and how quickly the aircraft needs to fly.
Outright purchase
Straight sale of the required component, quoted with condition, lead time and the documentation available with the unit.
Standard component exchange
A serviceable or overhauled unit is supplied against the return of your unserviceable core, within agreed core-return terms.
Flat-rate exchange
Where available for the part number, a fixed exchange fee provides cost certainty in place of an open repair estimate.
Short-term component loan
A unit provided for a defined period to cover a maintenance event or bridge a repair turnaround, subject to loan terms.
Tailored commercial arrangements
Combinations of the above, or structures shaped around a specific fleet programme, budget cycle or maintenance plan.
Which option suits your event?
Send the part number and the core status you hold, and we will set out the practical choices with indicative commercial terms.
Why exchange
Cost and downtime, considered together
Exchange solutions can reduce the cost of replacing a component compared with buying a new unit outright, and can return an aircraft to service faster than waiting on a shop visit for your own core. Instead of holding an aircraft while a unit is inspected, repaired and tested, a serviceable unit is supplied and your core follows.
The benefit is real but conditional. Exchange availability, the applicable core-return period, the acceptable core condition and any beyond-economical-repair terms are agreed commercially before the transaction proceeds, and vary by part number and supplier.
